A one-group-per-day whole-house villa on Ubara beach in Katsuura, Chiba, a stretch known for clear water and white sand. It stands on 550 square metres of private ground, faces the beach, and the sea is five seconds away. It sleeps eight.
Inside are two bedrooms and a living room with a kitchen, plus two single sofa beds in the living area. The kitchen holds a 470-litre fridge and cookware, along with a high-filtration water server, installed to reduce the use of plastic bottles.
The private terrace has an original sauna reaching 110C, with the sea itself as the cold bath. On the white-sand terrace there is also an outdoor jet bath, so detoxing happens with the water in view.
BBQ runs on a Weber electric grill, available as a paid option. Plans with proper ingredients and drinks are offered too.
Tokyo is about an hour and a half away by car, or an hour and 50 minutes by train. JR Ubara Station is about 600 m, roughly eight minutes on foot, and JR Katsuura Station about ten minutes by taxi.
