2. 嵓 KURA Nagomi Hida Takayama
About 10 minutes by car from central Hida Takayama, an 8-metre-diameter glamping dome (among the largest in the region) standing in satoyama countryside. Fully heated and air-conditioned for year-round comfort, with a private bathroom and water dispenser. Dinner is a BBQ course in summer and a Hida-beef yakiniku course in winter. Tips for choosing
- Don’t read capacity as “maximum.” Booking at the very top of the capacity range can leave sleeping space cramped. Check bedroom counts and bedding details on each property page and official site, and plan your headcount with room to spare.
- Divide by the number of people. Whole-house rentals are usually priced per building. Dividing by your group size reveals the per-person cost. Rates vary by season and headcount, so check the official site’s calendar.
- Decide the meal plan first. A villa with a kitchen for self-catering, or glamping with meal-inclusive plans: the choice completely changes how shopping and cooking duties are shared. The larger the group, the more the ease of hands-free BBQ or included meals pays off.
