A whole-house rental at Jogasaki in Izu Kogen, Ito City, Shizuoka, sleeping eleven. The large living-room window opens onto the terrace and the dog run, so the outdoors stays close in fine weather and in rain.
Your dog can be with you not only in the outdoor run but in the living room and bedrooms too. The flooring resists slipping and scratching, and the floors are level throughout. There is no limit on the number of dogs.
Indoors there is a stone rock bath fed by a natural hot spring. The living room has a home theatre, and the whole interior keeps the warmth of timber while settling into a calm, adult tone.
There are four bedrooms: a tatami room on the ground floor, and upstairs two Japanese-Western rooms and one Western room. Beds comprise one queen, two semi-doubles and three singles, with four futons in addition.
The terrace has gas BBQ equipment, and the kitchen a three-burner gas hob. Wi-Fi and parking for three cars are provided. Access is about five minutes by taxi from Jogasaki-Kaigan, or from Izu-Kogen Station by bus to Ikejiriguchi and about five minutes on foot.You settle in at 16:00 and stay through to 10:00 the next day. Rates start at 96,000 yen per night.
