Almin Base is a riverside retreat of four private sauna villas in Minami-Alps, Yamanashi. Each of the four types is a fully private space with its own sauna and cold bath, from the two-storey log house Pom for up to six guests to the tiny houses Lulu and Alba and the dog-friendly Famille. The saunas differ by cabin, from wood-burning skeleton and barrel saunas to an electric one, and guests can enjoy loyly made with drinkable-quality tea leaves and cold water drawn from the soft springs of the Southern Alps. Dinner is a barbecue of local Koshu wine beef, Fuji-zakura pork and Shingen chicken, alongside sauna meals gathered from around Japan.
