Glamping My Dear is a three-groups-a-day private site in the mountains of Hokuto, Yamanashi, a village of famous water ringed by Japan's noted peaks. Created by an owner-mother around the idea of a place where you can stay with your children in comfort, it is the first glamping site in the Kanto region certified as a Miki House Welcome Baby inn. Rooms include the Orion and Spica domes (each for 2-5 guests), with all-weather private dining spaces and their own bath and toilet, and the one-group-a-day Sirius dome (for 2-4) with a private dog run for guests bringing dogs. Dinner is a Yamanashi-produce glamping BBQ with drinks - Koshu beef and Fujizakura pork - or a shabu-shabu course in winter, and activities such as pizza making, stargazing through a telescope, a pick-your-own vegetable market and campfires suit the whole family. It is about 20 minutes by car from the Sudama IC and a 15-minute taxi ride from Hinoharu Station; check the official site for rates and availability.
