GLAMP MARE sits on a roughly 2,700 sqm seaside site in Kamaguchi, Awaji City, with only five fully private units, all facing the sea. It is the first glamping facility in Awaji City where every unit has its own natural onsen bath (simple hot spring), set on the second floor above the covered dining space so you can soak with an ocean view at any time of your stay. Three tent types are available (the Japan-first original Belet Tent, the 7 m Mare Dome and the group-oriented Malt Dome using two adjoining domes for up to ten guests), each with a private garden, fire pit, private toilet, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Dinner plans feature Awaji beef, Awaji pork, onions and octopus from the island known as a historic purveyor of food to the imperial court, and a self-catering plan is also offered. Access is about 15 minutes from the Higashiura IC via Route 28, roughly 40 minutes from Shin-Kobe by car; check the official site for rates and availability.
