Set at around 1,000 m in the Yatsugatake highlands of Hokuto, Yamanashi, Nagomi Resort Run is a pet-friendly, whole-cottage retreat: only six cottages across some 5,600 sqm of forest, with two-storey buildings A-E and single-storey F, where dogs are welcome indoors too. Each cottage has its own roughly 130 sqm dog run off the deck, and the grounds add a large communal dog run of about 2,500 sqm on artificial turf. Fitted out to condominium standard for longer stays, the second-floor bedrooms of A-E have a 120-inch projector screen. Meals centre on a glamping BBQ of Yamanashi and Yatsugatake ingredients such as Koshu wine beef, Fujizakura pork and Kai salmon, with an all-weather BBQ space at every cottage, plus kaiseki, shabu-shabu and houtou plans and a self-catered no-meal option. A guests-only cafe and a toban-yoku warm-bathing room (private to F) are also available.
