GLAMPING SKYMARINE stands by the Seto Inland Sea on Osakikamijima, Hiroshima, with every one of its whole-unit rooms facing the ocean. Each 38-square-meter unit opens straight onto the sea, catching both sunrise and sunset, and comes with a jacuzzi open-air bath and an outdoor living area with a sink, gas BBQ and fire pit, plus air conditioning; a dog-run unit for guests with dogs is also available. Dinner is a glamping BBQ centered on local seafood, such as sirloin steak, seafood ahijo and paella, while a self-catering plan allows your own ingredients. On site you can enjoy a free private beach, a barrel sea sauna where you plunge into the sea instead of a cold bath, marine sports such as canoeing and SUP, and karaoke at an adjacent facility. Osakikamijima is not linked to the mainland by bridge, so access is by ferry or high-speed boat - about 11 minutes from Takehara Port to Mebaru Port, then a minute by car; check the official site for rates and availability.
