In the satoyama hills of Awara City, Fukui, Juraku no Mori is an outdoor site offering camping, glamping, BBQ and fruit picking. Stays centre on a fully private log cabin let to just one group a day, with a wood-scented room holding a double bed and sofa, air conditioning and a fridge, plus a covered wooden deck with a hammock, for up to three guests. The cabin comes with its own sauna and jacuzzi (swimwear required) and a bonfire set for the evening, while dinner is a chef-supervised hands-free BBQ under cover, with breakfast-included plans available. Herbs picked in the on-site garden can be used for free, and there is seasonal grape and blueberry picking plus a dog run.
