Gran Forest Echizen Miyama is a dome glamping site within Repos-no-Mori, a roughly 5,000-tsubo complex built around a renovated hot-spring inn in the heavily forested Miyama area of Fukui City. Six domes come in three styles (the water-set Aqua, the Japanese-themed Rin and the spacious Asia), with the Asia 1 and Rin 2 domes being dog-friendly and fitted with private dog runs; each dome has its own kitchen and a covered dining space, and cooking tools can be borrowed from the central house. Dinner is a course of Fukui meat, fresh fish and local vegetables prepared by local chefs, offered as an all-inclusive plan with food and drinks included, or as a bring-your-own-ingredients plan; the roofed dining space means BBQ is fine even in the rain. Guests can also use the inn's natural hot-spring public bath, drawn from about 1,000 m underground, free of charge, and a private bath is available by reservation. It is about 15 minutes by car from the Fukui IC, or a 1.1 km walk from Ichinami Station on the JR Kuzuryu Line; check the official site for rates and availability.
