In Hokota, Ibaraki, this glamping site sits just a one-minute walk from a Pacific beach and takes only two groups a day. Its two all-weather dome tents come with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, sleep two to four each, and, with five to eight guests, can be booked out together as a fully private space for family or friends. Dinner is a hands-free BBQ of Hokota-grown meat and vegetables, with grilling gear and seasonings lent for free, and a tent sauna in the open air (by reservation) has a jacuzzi beside it in place of a cold bath, plus sauna ponchos to borrow; a shared shower room with a bathtub is also available. It is about 20 minutes by car from the Mito-Oarai IC, roughly 12 minutes by taxi from Hinuma Station, and around two hours from central Tokyo, with free parking on site. Note that pets are not accepted.
