About 80 minutes from Shinjuku, a glamping site in the forest of Tsuru, Yamanashi, with seven dome tents each in a different interior theme, all air-conditioned. It has an all-weather BBQ cottage, a free-flowing hot spring two minutes' walk away (with a free bathing ticket), and a dog-friendly dome with its own dog run.

About 80 minutes from Shinjuku by car, THE FOREST is a glamping site wrapped in the forest of Tsuru, Yamanashi. Seven large dome tents sit on the grounds, each fitted with air conditioning and a Mount Fuji mineral-water server for year-round comfort, and every dome has its own interior theme, from two- and four-bed Forest Domes to a Japanese-modern dome with a kotatsu, and a dog-friendly dome with a private garden and dog run. Meals are hearty glamping BBQs of local ingredients such as Koshu wine beef, Fuji-zakura pork and Shingen chicken, cooked in an all-weather BBQ cottage that stays comfortable in rain or deep winter; dinner plans include free-flow drinks (with alcohol) from 15:00 to 21:00. Guests also receive a free bathing ticket for the free-flowing hot spring 'Basho Tsukimachi no Yu,' a two-minute walk away. It is about 80 minutes by car, or roughly 20 minutes by free shuttle from JR Otsuki Station.
