The Retreat is a sports and wellness retreat set in the nature of Iizuka, Fukuoka, that combines a hotel with glamping. You can stay in the stylish Mountain Lodge hotel building, an easy-going Journey Tent, a vintage camper-van Comfort RV or the view-facing Outlook Cabin. Meals centre on an authentic BBQ cooked on a Weber gas grill and enjoyed privately on each unit's own deck, with ingredients provided so you can arrive empty-handed; breakfast is a half-buffet with a choice of Japanese or Western mains, and the ground-floor Garden Kitchen cafe serves burgers, panini and coffee. Tennis courts, yoga, hiking, mountain biking and campfires round out the activities, and some Comfort RV units are pet-friendly.
