BAYFRONT VILLA TAMATE opened in December 2024 on the shore at Koda in Tachibana, Anan City, Tokushima, let whole to one group a day. It was featured on Shikoku Broadcasting's Gojikaru in February 2025.
The room is glazed on two sides, so the shifting sky and sea become the interior's own view. The furnishings have been chosen with care.
In your own outdoor space stand a barrel sauna, a cold plunge, cooling-off chairs and a fire pit. The sauna is Japanese-made in domestic hinoki. You sweat surrounded by the scent of the wood, cool off in the plunge and settle in the sea breeze. After dark you can sit around the fire under the stars.
Meals draw on fresh local seafood: a glamping BBQ or a kaiseki course, built around fish landed nearby and branded regional ingredients.
There is parking on site. Tokushima IC on the Tokushima Expressway is about 34 kilometres away.
