This property stands at Bochi in Otani, Awaji City, Hyogo, looking out over the sea. Rooms come in two types: luxury villas and outdoor-style tents. The villas have a generous two-bedroom layout suited to groups and larger parties; the tents are seven-metre domes with air conditioning. Capacity is six.
Every unit has a hot-spring bath in the room, drawn from a good source. It is a simple spring, mild enough for small children, and being private you can get in at any hour.
The private pool belongs to the villa type: a large one facing the sea.
In May 2024 a villa that accepts dogs was added. It comes with a private dog run, so your dog has a space of its own.
Meals are a glamping BBQ built on produce from the waters around Awaji. A room-only plan lets you bring your own ingredients instead. The kitchen is well equipped.
Ten minutes away by car, the Awaji Island SUP & Kayak centre runs guided trips on paddleboards, canoes and kayaks, with instruction for beginners. Kobe is about 60 minutes away across the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Parking is available.
