THE BOXY AWAJI is a container-built villa at Kamaguchi Tsuda in Awaji City, Hyogo, let whole to one group a day. It is two storeys and sleeps eight, with extra beds used for parties of seven or eight.
The buildings are divided by function. The main block holds a bedroom, kitchen and toilet on the ground floor with a living room above; a bedroom block holds two more bedrooms; and a third block holds the bathroom, washbasin and toilet. Room 101 in the main block is a twin with two single beds; Room 102 in the bedroom block has a semi-double plus an extra bed and a single.
The pool, jet bath, sauna and BBQ terrace are gathered on the balcony and terrace. The sauna is a barrel, and the pool doubles as a night pool after dark, though all of it closes at 22:00.
The kitchen holds an induction hob, microwave, toaster oven, kettle, rice cooker, hotplate, fridge and dishwasher, along with a coffee grinder and beans. Cookware is complete apart from seasonings. There is a television in the living room only, free Wi-Fi, and air conditioning and an air purifier in each block, plus two washlet toilets on the ground floor.
BBQ comes as a set menu or a deluxe set, ordered when you book or up to three days before arrival. On a room-only booking with your own ingredients, the BBQ grill is charged separately.
Parking on site is free for three cars. Arrival runs from 15:00 to 18:00 and departure is by 11:00. Room-only rates start at 90,000 yen per night for the whole villa.
