A property at Hokujo in Hakuba, Nagano, held within the nature of the Northern Alps. Accommodation comes in three types.
The villa buildings are eighteen detached houses of differing size and construction, scattered through the forest. They sit about five minutes by car from the hotel building, in quiet surroundings. Every house has a kitchen and Wi-Fi, and some have a jacuzzi. With a kitchen on hand, mealtimes are yours to set.
The log hotel is a single-storey Canadian log house wrapped in the warmth of timber, with six Western rooms and a public space holding a wood stove and sofas. From the large window of a private room you can look at the Hakuba Three Peaks while still lying in bed. The trailer hotel comprises three units, each with its own private deck, usable for meals, a fire or as the cooling space after the sauna.
The sauna is Finnish. Its deck faces the Hakuba Three Peaks head-on, and the cold bath uses spring water. A changing room and shower are provided, and there is a day-use plan.
Three of the units accept pets. JR Hakuba Station and the ski areas are about 15 minutes away by car.
