THE BONDS is an ocean-front resort at Tadara in Tomiura, Minamiboso City, Chiba, within easy reach of Tokyo. It offers whole-rental villas and glamping domes, and how you spend the stay depends on which you take. Capacity is eleven.
Some rooms come with a private sauna. Every glamping unit has a private tent sauna, a jacuzzi and its own toilet, so you can pour loyly with a choice of aroma waters and use the jacuzzi as your cold plunge. There is also a private bath you can reserve.
Rooms that accept dogs are available. For wet days there are indoor facilities including billiards, table tennis and darts.
Dinner is one of three house BBQ courses: a proper BBQ plan that suits smaller appetites, a course pairing premium meat with abalone, and a plan offering a choice of two lasagnes, all built on local ingredients. Breakfast is a Japanese set from January to March and hot sandwiches from April to December, with 100 percent fresh juice. You can eat indoors or out, so the cold months are no obstacle.
On room-only plans, bringing your own ingredients is free. Open flames cannot be brought in, so a gas BBQ grill is rented at 3,850 yen.
