Tips for choosing
- “In-room onsen” and “onsen (shared bathhouse)” are different things. If you want your soak entirely within your own unit, choosing a stay with an in-room onsen is the safe bet.
- Capacity figures are maximums. Booking with room to spare in your headcount also makes it easier to enjoy a relaxed wind-down after the bath.
- Rates are typically per building. “From approx. ¥X/night” is the lowest guide as of the time of research and varies by season, day of the week, and party size.
