A whole-house onsen retreat on the heights of Atami for up to eleven guests. Alongside a bath house with a free-flowing hinoki tub and sauna, each room has its own open-air or indoor spring bath, and the 86 sqm terrace looks out on the Atami fireworks.

A whole-house onsen retreat on the heights of Nishi-Atami in Atami, Shizuoka, sleeping up to eleven.
The ground floor holds an 81 sqm living and dining room, a 28 sqm island kitchen, a garden, and a bath house with a free-flowing hinoki tub, a sauna and a cold bath. The bath house opens on three sides, so you can soak while taking in the season and the birdsong. The 86 sqm terrace has outdoor furniture, a BBQ grill and a bioethanol fireplace, and the Atami fireworks displays held through the year are visible from it.
There are four guest rooms. Kaze no Ma, 70 sqm, has an open-air bath on the balcony along with a hammock and day bed. The open-air bath at Ha no Ma, 59 sqm, is built for lying down in. Akari no Ma, 43 sqm, has hot-spring water piped to its indoor bath, and Niwa no Ma, 88 sqm, sits on the ground floor combining Japanese and Western rooms, with the tatami room opening onto the garden. The beds were developed jointly with Simmons.
Wi-Fi is available and parking takes up to five cars. There is a shuttle from JR Atami and Kinomiya stations.
