A whole-house rental at Koshigoe in Kamakura, Kanagawa, about four minutes on foot from Enoshima Station on the Enoden line. The beach is the same four minutes away. It sleeps six.
The interior covers 61 square metres: a living-dining room and kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a washroom and a toilet. There are two washbasins and a washing machine. Bedroom one has a queen bed, bedroom two has two doubles, and with the sofa bed in the living room the total reaches six. Each bedroom has a desk and wardrobe, which holds up for longer stays.
What stands out most is the 20 sqm terrace. A large tent sauna with a MISA stove and an oil-drum cold bath make a serious setup, alongside a jacuzzi and a day bed.
A foot-washing station at the entrance is useful after swimming or walking the shore, and works for washing a dog's paws too. Up to two medium dogs under 10 kg may come.
Wi-Fi is free to use.You may enter from 16:00 and must leave by 10:00. Rates start at 59,000 yen per night.
