Doggy's Villa Kamaguchi consists of two ocean-view villas on the northeast side of Awaji Island in Hyogo, for guests travelling with dogs. Each sleeps five, and taking both gives you up to ten.
There are no restrictions on breed or number. Dogs are welcome in every part of the villa. Bowls, leads and toilet trays are provided, along with treats.
Villa A is called Dog Garden and Villa B Suite Dog. A sleeps on two semi-double beds, two single futons in the loft and one single extra bed; B has four semi-doubles and one single futon.
Both have a table space set up for BBQ, so you can bring whatever you like and grill it. A gas grill BBQ set is available to rent as an option. For meals there is a glamping BBQ plan built on Awaji produce, the island long known as a source of food for the imperial table: Awaji beef, Awaji pork, onions and octopus. A room-only plan lets you bring your own ingredients instead.
The villas are fitted out like condominiums, with a private kitchen and cookware, fridge, microwave and washing machine, which makes longer stays workable. Air conditioning, toilet and shower are of course private. Outdoor parking takes two cars.
Osaka is 90 minutes away by car, Kobe 40.
