A whole-house villa for guests travelling with dogs, on the heights of Nojima Ezaki in northern Awaji Island, Hyogo. It opened in December 2023 and was renewed in June 2025. There are two houses, so no more than two groups a day.
The private dog run is the point. Linked across both houses it reaches about 250 square metres, among the largest in Kansai. Step onto the terrace and the Inland Sea opens up in panorama, with the sun going down into the water. There is a BBQ space as well.
The layout is a living room plus a 20-mat bedroom. Pet amenities cover a crate, toilet, bowls, towels and an outdoor pet shower, so you can travel lighter. All rooms are non-smoking.
Awaji IC on the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway is about eight minutes away by car. The final approach includes a steep rise of roughly ten metres, and if your car cannot manage it there is a second car park at the bottom of the slope. If the weather or the gradient worries you, it is worth asking in advance. Bookings open three months ahead. Rates start at 82,000 yen per night.
